- Specification
- Product Description:
- Met Kinase (Human) Assay/Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit is a single-site, non-quantitative immunoassay for kinase activity of recombinant catalytic domain of Met. Plates are pre-coated with a newly designed "Tyrosine kinase-substrate-1", which can be easily phosphorylated by recombinant catalytic domain of Met. The detector antibody is PY-39, an antibody that specifically detects the phosphotyrosine residue on "Tyrosine kinase-substrate-1".

- Gene Description:
- met proto-oncogene (hepatocyte growth factor receptor)
- Gene Ontology:
- Hyperlink
- Gene Summary:
- The proto-oncogene MET product is the hepatocyte growth factor receptor and encodes tyrosine-kinase activity. The primary single chain precursor protein is post-translationally cleaved to produce the alpha and beta subunits, which are disulfide linked to form the mature receptor. Various mutations in the MET gene are associated with papillary renal carcinoma. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq
